I have not posted to this blog since June...mostly because I created the blog for my Technology and Leadership class in my doctorate program. At the time, I had to post. While I enjoyed the experience at the time, I have since let life get in the way! Rather than continuing to talk about technology and leadership, although I might touch on one or both of those topics randomly, I plan to use this blog to share my walk of faith!
Who has participated in a Beth Moore Bible study? Two words: faith changing! Beth has a way of making you look at and analyze your faith from a different perspective; she forces you to strip away all the walls you put up to protect yourselves from others, and she asks you to be real with God. Wow, what a scary concept! Last night our lesson was all about redemption and being freed from sin.
A monumental lesson for me: Though I have sinned, I am not defined by my sins. That statement stirred up thoughts within me, and made me realize that I have spent years beating myself up over things I cannot change. And it is not necessary! I am made free through Jesus' ultimate sacrifice for me, and for YOU! We have to stop living in the past and we must stop beating ourselves up!!
So this is my pledge - to let go of the past. To forgive more, and to condemn less. To seek to be more Christ-like in all my relationships and endeavors, and to always remember that I am a child of the one true King! Thank you God, for never leaving me, despite all the times when I turned my back on you and ran in the other direction kicking and screaming. My walk with You is getting stronger - my faith in you is steadfast - and my love for you is unexplainable!
